This set consists of two very useful gardening tools: a 8-3/8" trimmer and a 7-7/8" anvil cutter.  Both made from Japanese steel and heat treated blades for durability.  It makes for an excellent gift.

Use the general purpose pruner / trimmer to do most of your garden pruning from harvesting fruit to flowers to seasonal trimming.  The pointed blades make it easy to get between tight stems.  The angled head allow cleaner cuts nearer to the trunk and do not crush plant tissue.  They are easy on the hands as well.  

Anvil cutters make the best pruners to cut dead wood or woody stems.  A sharp cutting edge makes the cut easier against a flat catch blade (“anvil”).  With high leverage ratio, these can trim tough, sticky stems and branches.

Both have cushioned comfort grips for slip-free use and an ambidextrous design.  When not in use the pairs can be locked for personal safety and avoidance of blade damage.  They are made from high carbon steel with hardened blade edge to retain sharpness and to last longer.

These trimmers and the anvil cutter are preferred by do-it-yourselfers (DIYers) and landscapers.
