The Ascend Tools SFO-80353-2B kit combines the FO3S-853 Three Hole Fiber Cable Stripper and ATi-803 Kevlar Cutting Shears assembled in a convenient nylon pouch which can be holstered on a belt. This is an essential toolkit for a fiber cable installation technician or fiber cable assembly house.
Three-Hole Fiber Cable Stripper (FO3S-853)
The FO3S-835 three hole fiber cable stripper performs all common stripping functions on all three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding. The three holes have three different size notches to strip 2-3mm outer jacket down to buffer coating, 600-900 micron tight buffer coating down to 250mm coated fiber, and third 250 micron cladding down to 125 micron bare fiber without scratching or damaging the fiber core itself. Each tool is tested for tolerance and the measured tolerance is printed on a label stuck to the packaging. The superior performance is derived from high quality material, expert blade technology, and quality of performance testing.
These strippers are made from high carbon Japanese steel, blade edges are hardened to Rockwell standard and grinded to very sharp edges- all to deliver precise stripping action with comparatively less required force. The stripper has swing lock mechanism for human safety and to protect stripping blade edges when not in operation. It is spring loaded to reduce hand fatigue. The handle grip is coated with TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) for non-slip grip action and comfort. A long tang through the grip allows efficient force transfer and durability.
