The Ascend Tools’ FO3S-853 three hole fiber optic stripper performs all common fiber stripping functions.  It strips the 1.2-3 mm fiber jacket, 250-900 micron buffer coating, and 125-250 micron cladding down to expose the glass fiber.  The first hole strips the fiber jacket down to the 250-900 micron buffer coating. The second hole then strips the buffer coating down to the 250 micron coating. The third hole strips the 250 micron coating down to the 125 micron glass fiber without nicks or scratches.  It is spring loaded to ease stress on the hand during repetitive stripping function.  A safety lock protects the blade as well as the user and allows the stripper to be easily stored when not in use.

Each of the three holes is precisely set to strip the three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding.  Each tool is quality tested for tolerance; the measured tolerance is printed on a label stuck to the packaging (of every single stripper).

This stripper is made from high carbon Japanese steel, they host sharp edged blades with edges hardened to HRC 60-62 and require less force for stripping function.  The hardened sharp edges provide durability and more precise stripping functionality.  The handle is made from TPR (Thermoplastic Rubber) for comfort and non-slip grip.

Special Features:
  • Three different size notches to perform all common functions of stripping layers of fiber cable

  • Each of the three notches is set to precisely strip the three elements of the fiber cable – outer jacket, buffer and cladding

  • Each stripper is quality tested for tolerance; the measured tolerance is printed on a label stuck to the packaging (for each tool)
