The 11-inch ratcheted wire rope cutter is designed to specifically cut stainless steel, copper and aluminum stranded wire ropes up to 3/8” (10mm) in diameter neatly and precisely.  It can also be used for electrical and communication cables.  The ratchet mechanism increases cutting pressure and presses the blades through cables that are too thick for standard cable cutters.  The handles are ergonomically designed to provide fatigue proof cutting operation.  These cutters typically require two hands to operate.

The cutter is made from Japanese steel; the replaceable blades are made from high-speed steel and are hardened to Rockwell standard HRC 65-67.  The blades can deliver more than 200 cuts without flattening or fanning the cable.  The cutter is equipped with a quick release lever to release the blades at any point during cutting.  One extra set of blades is provided to enable users to continue their job without downtime.  The blades can be changed quickly using a 2mm hex key.

This cutter is uniquely suited to cut stainless steel stranded wire; only a few cutters can handle stainless steel, most are designed to cut copper or aluminum wire.
